Liability – Guests’ liability for their account is not waived and all guests agree to be held personally liable in the event that any indicated person, group, company or association fails to pay all or part of any charges incurred.

Damage to hotel property – We reserve the right to charge guests’ the cost of rectifying any damage caused by a guest to hotel property or structure. Please note, damage to linen and bedding items due to staining, spilling or wetting WILL be charged for also. Should this damage come to light after the guest has departed we reserve the right to make a charge to the guests’ credit/debit cards used when checking in and upon booking. We will however make every effort to rectify any damage internally, prior to contracting specialists to make the repairs, and therefore will make every effort to keep any costs that the guest would incur to a minimum. We expect rooms to be left in a reasonable condition upon check-out, bins are provided and extra bin bags can be provided upon request. If excessive cleaning is required or rooms are littered with excessive rubbish a charge of £20 will be made. Upon checking into your room(s), you must report anything unusual whether it is damage or markings on walls and furnishings, within 60 minutes of check-in so the hotel can make a log.

Removal of hotel property – We reserve the right to charge guests the cost of replacing any items that are removed from the premises by them without consent. The charge will be the full replacement amount of the missing item, including any carriage charges. Should the fact that the item is missing come to light after the guest has departed we reserve the right to make a charge to the guests credit / debit card.

Tampering with fire detection systems and fire fighting equipment – We reserve the right to take action against any guest found to have tampered/interfered with any fire detection equipment throughout the hotel, including detector heads in public areas and bedrooms, break glass points and fire extinguishers. Guests found to have tampered with any fire detection or fire fighting equipment will be charged with any costs incurred by the hotel due to their actions and additionally will be asked to leave the hotel. Depending on the severity of the guests’ actions, the Police may become involved at the hotels discretion. Should the fact that fire fighting or detection equipment had been tampered with come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right to make a charge to the guests credit/debit card.

Inappropriate behaviour – It is the hotels policy that all our guests have the right to be treated with dignity and respect and as a responsible host we believe that we have a duty to protect our guests from inappropriate behaviour. Should any actions by a guest be deemed inappropriate by the Duty Manager, or if any inappropriate behaviour is brought to the attention of the Duty Manager, the hotel reserves the right, after any allegations have been investigated, to take action against the guest. Depending on the severity of the guests’ actions, the Police may become involved at the hotel’s discretion, or guests may be asked to leave the hotel. Please note excessive noise will not be tolerated, if a guest(s) is seen to be disturbing others in the building then the hotel reserves the right to ask them to leave the hotel and/or charge compensation to the guest account accordingly, with prior verbal warnings.

Smoking Policy – This is strictly a non-smoking hotel. Guests found to be smoking in their bedrooms, will be charged £60 to deodorize and clean the room in question and will be asked to leave the hotel. Smoking is only allowed in the parking area, at the rear side of the building.

Use of cooking devices – Due to fire safety, use of any cooking device inside a room is strictly prohibited. Guests found to be cooking in their room will be asked to leave the hotel.

Lost / Damaged property – Should any guest lose any belongings during their stay or incur damage to their property, the provision of the Hotel Proprietors Act 1956 will apply. It is the guests’ responsibility to report and pay costs of returning any lost property. All lost property will be stored for 3 months, if property is not reclaimed within 3 months of the guests’ departure it will be disposed of by the hotel.

Keys – It is the responsibility of the guests to return all their room keys which have been signed for. Damaged keys are charged at a rate of £20 per key. If a key is lost and not returned to the hotel by 14:00 on the day of departure, a charge of £40 will be made, for a change of lock and keys.

Unchecked-in Guests – No visitors are allowed into the hotel from 9pm until 10am or the unchecked in guests policy will apply. All unchecked-in guests are charged at a rack rate of £40 per person per night automatically to the booking card, regardless of time spent in the building.

Housekeeping – Bed Linen will be changed once per week for guests staying a week. If you would like your sheets changed more frequently there will be a £10 charge per sheet change. Fresh Towels will be provided each day and extra Tea / Coffee is available upon request.

Check out time – Check out time is by 10am on the day of departure. By prior arrangement you can extend your check-out time. This must be agreed and paid for by 9pm on the day before departure. Please ask at the Reception for details. Guests who have not handed back their keys (which signifies check out) by 11am will automatically be charged £10 and £5 per half an hour thereafter.

Car Parking – All vehicles are parked at their owners’ risk. We would advise you leave no valuables on show within the car. Should a problem occur with a vehicle in the hotel car park, the hotel cannot accept any liability. The car park is run by a Parking Management Company. Guests must provide their registration at reception without error. If registration(s) are not recorded or entered incorrectly, guests will be subject to a fine from the Parking Management Company. The Hotel cannot be held responsible for subsequent parking fines.

Group Bookings – With group bookings all individuals are joint and separately liable for any damage caused by any individual member of the group. An instruction, direction or advice given to one member of the group is deemed to be given to all. A one out – all out policy is in operation within this building.

Room Checks – All guests must accept that the Hotel and appropriate staff reserve the right to enter and inspect a room at any time, if deemed necessary.

Hand / Body Soap use – The hand / body soap provided is used at the guests’ risk. Please test in small area before normal use.

Nothing in these Terms or Conditions shall limit or restrict guests’ legal rights as a consumer.
Advice concerning such rights may be obtained from a Citizens Advice Bureau.
